Remembering C.B. DeMille

This Film Director's Words Are Inspiring

I often think of a quote I came across by C.B. DeMille, the legendary film

director. This was a statement DeMille made not long before his death. When a

friend asked how he was, DeMille, who knew he did not have long to live, replied

that he felt it was about time to be moving on and that what he was thinking about

was "another film, another life, and maybe even another world." I like to think

that he's continuing to touch the lives of others...continuing to make a

contribution in the life beyond. DeMille was the great director of "The Ten

Commandments" with terrific actors Charlton Heston and Anne Baxter. He also

directed a number of other successful films. His words are inspiring and well-

worth remembering.
